This 2 bedroom apartment is situated right next to the Jardin des Plantes one of the 2 major parks in the Latin quarter of Paris. It houses the natural history museum and botanical gardens and is an ideal haven to escape the hustle bustle of France's capital city. All the major sights and monuments of the Latin Quarter are within easy walking distance including the Pantheon, the Arene de Lutece, rue Mouffetard, boulevard Saint Michel, the Sorbonne and the river Seine. The nearest métro is a 2 minute walk away at Jussieu.

The apartment is located on the 4th floor (with lift) and sleeps 4 people in two double bedrooms, there's one bathroom. It is decorated in a classic Parisian style with antiques, fireplaces and wooden parquet flooring throughout. The French windows in all the rooms open onto a narrow balcony that runs along the length of the property.

One enters the accommodation into a small hallway where you will find a large antique chest of drawers and a buffet.

The living area is dominated by a large mirror over a working wood fireplace. There is a wooden dining table that comfortably seats 6 people, a large sofa, two Louis XVI armchairs, a chest of drawers and a coffee table.

Two sliding doors separate the living area from the library/second bedroom. Here you will find a desk, large bookshelf and an armchair. There is a fold-away double bed (4ft6, 140cm wide) that can be left unfolded when this room is used as a bedroom.

The main bedroom offers a large double bed (5ft3, 160cm), plenty of storage space, desk and armchair.

The kitchen has all the expected appliances including electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and a small breakfast table.

The bathroom has a bathtub with overhead shower, a wash basin and a utility cupboard where you will find a washing machine. There is a separate loo.

A separate TV room has a television with cable channels (English speaking CNN, BBC), 3 person sofa, large bookshelf and a desk with broadband internet access.

The area is well endowed with good restaurants, cafés and bars. Try Chez Lena et Mimile (8 rue Tournefort) a wonderfully located restaurant that boasting a large terrace during the sunnier months, or l'Estrapade (5 rue de l'Etrapade), reminiscent of the bistros of the 1900's with low ceilings and traditional décor offering traditional French cuisine, with accents of the south-west. Also a visit to the Paris Mosque for tea should not be missed. Here you will enjoy a idyllic atmosphere, an oasis in the middle of Paris. Try the North African pastry with a mint tea.
